Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SINCE appointing a sole agent in Great Britain 18 months ago, Belgian coachbuilder Jonckheere has established a significant share of the British market. Its sole agent, Roeselare Sales Ltd of Northampton, by the summer will have supplied over 200 units, on Volvo and DAF chassis during its first two years of business.

Roeselare managing director Alan Wilson told CM that the company had hoped to body a Leyland Tiger demonstrator but efforts to purchase a chassis, which had been in progress since October 1980 when the chassis was previewed at the NEC Motor Show, have proved fruitless.

The company had hoped to offer the Tiger in addition to DAF and Volvo chassis.

The company says it has no intention to increase its share of the British market.

At present, only its Bermuda range of bodies is available for British operators, but this is expected to be complemented by the Jubilee range, which includes double-deck and very high-deck options and features revised front and rear styling, after the 1982 NEC motor show.

Since its entry into the British market the bodybuilder has reported an increase in the number of high specification coaches ordered; more than 70 per cent of its vehicles now have toilet compartments.
