hen a British Rail lorry drove into the side of the Mayfield Hotel at Seamer, near Scarborough, the locals did the only decent thing: they carried on drinking.
The lorry became embedded in the wall and knocked out the electricity supply.
Eventually the police called time and evacuated the pub, which brings a new meaning to "one for the road".
