ITS PURPOSE-built livestock vehicle makes transport of stock cheaper, safer and quicker, claims Millmoor Commercial Services Ltd of Cheadle, Staffs.
The semi-trailer, of chassisless alloy welded construction, is said to be 4.5 tonnes lighter than conventional designs.
A two-deck variant has a spring conterbalanced main ramp, while the ramp to the upper deck is hydraulically operated.
On the four-deck version, the second and fourth deck ramps are manually actuated and lead off the bottom and third ramps.
All decks, floors and ramps meet the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food specifications and consist of aluminium alloy checker plate.
EEC requirements for the transport of calves, cows, sheep and pigs can also be met.
There is a choice of tandem or tri-axle running gear. Ruber Owen or Hutchinson monolea or Rydewell rubber suspensio systems are available, the latte is claimed to increase stabilit and freedom from roll.
The trailers are offered full assembled or in ckd form fo local assembly.
