THE ENIGMA of the bucket containing half its total volume of liquid is viewed from two directions by Bob Johnson, Seddon Atkinson's managing director and Ron Hancock, Leyland Vehicles' chairman.
Bob says: "I suspect ... that a gradual recovery has now begun." His bucket is half full.
Ron says: "There are no immediate signs of an upturn in the market place." His bucket is half empty.
The bottom has fallen out of mine.
