Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE London County Council's ambulance exhibition, which was to have closed earlier this week, is now being kept open by special request until next Tuesday, March 24 (Saturday and Sunday excepted). The main exhibit at this special show, which is at the L.C.C. Wandsworth Supplies Depot, Merton Road, is the L.C.C.'s own ambulance and the B.M.C. LD chassis on which it is ' mounted; this vehicle incorporates a number of innovations including a " space-strung " stretcher bed, Webasto combustion heater and Easco Amplibell, all of which were described in The Commercial Motor road test report published on January 31.

The stretcher bed, developed by the L.C.C. in conjunction with Delaney Gallay Ltd., is shown on a vibrating platform, demonstrating with the aid of an oscilloscope the extent to which a patient can be protected from road shocks and vibration. The Webasto combustion heater is, we are told, to become the standard heater on L.C.C. ambulances; running on paraffin it makes heat available in as little as 90 sec. and readily maintains a temperature of around 75°F.

Also shown is a Bedford Lomas ambu

lance which carries six sitting patients and a stretcher, while a background to the display is provided by a horse-drawn ambulance of 1883 vintage and a more conventional 1926 vehicle built by W. and G. Ducros for the Metropolitan Asylum Board.
