• Two directors and a salesman from Cranes and Commerdais Exports of Southampton will appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on 27 January. They were arrested two weeks ago on charges of conspiracy to handle stolen goods, including 22 million worth of engines and gearboxes.
They are Mark Slowen, director of Cranes & Commercials; his salesman brother Neil and Cranes & Commercials managing director Trevor Slowen. Appearing with them will be Alan Read, a director of another company, and Leslie Pegrwn of Norbury, South London.
