• Days after receiving £3,31:10 in government VED rebates a south Devon haulier was back where he started, thanks to a 25% leap in his insurance costs.
Andy Gorman, who runs six trucks out of Dawlish, near Exeter, says he has not made a claim in three-and-a-half years, but his insurance bill jumped from £9.000 to £12,000. He says he feels let down by insurers GM, who have handled his insurance since he started out 20 years ago.
It's hard enough out there anyway with

A GM spokeswoman says insurance premiums are rising across the whole of the motor industry in response to increasing numbers of claims.
