THE Dutch company which imports and assembles Japanese Hino commercial vehicles is to exhibit at the Commercial Motor Show in September. According to the company, Automobielfabriek Nederland Nv., of Nijmegen, no plans have yet been made to export to Britain, but it is anticipated that this may be possible in 1967 when output of the Dutch factory at Rushing should reach 1,500 a year.
Automobielfabriek Nederland produce only the Hino KM400 and it is one of these 5-tonners that will be seen at Earls Court. This has a modern design, forward-entry tilt cab and the mechanical specification includes a six-cylinder, 4.3-litre diesel producing 90 b.h.p. gross at 3,200 r.p.m. and a four-speed synchromesh gearbox.
