IVECO is to sell three of its Z-Series range of vehicles througl International Harvester in the United States and Canada.
Three models in the 4.5 to 6.5-ton market will be sold through thr 1,300 US and Canadian IH dealers as International I-Series models and are aimed at the Class 2,3, and 4 of the North American market.
All will have diesel engines, and most will be bodied as vans.
DAF, which has made clear that it would be happy if IH sold it stake in the company, was approached before the IVECO deal wa; signed.
However, there was no conflict of interest as it does not builc vehicles in such low-weight categories and it has no plans to assemble vehicles in North America.
