LOTHIAN REGION'S transport committee is likely to terminate its contract for the supply of taped music and advertising on 50 of its buses.
Taped music was first installed six years ago as an experiment, and since then the total income for the council has been around £10,000 only.
There was trouble also over who was responsible for paying fees to the Performing Rights Society, who wanted to hold the transport department responsible for any fees.
