THE Metropolitan and South Eastern area of the Road Haulage Association may still organize next year's London (Woolwich) round of the Lorry Driver of the Year competition. The area committee had threatened not to run the round any more because of adverse criticism it had received. At a meeting in London on Wednesday d number of offers of help were made. The committee will now be asked if it will change its mind. Possible dates for
the 1963 round were said to be July 21 and 28.
Medicals for Soots?
ANEW medical examination scheme for Boots Pure Drug Co., Nottingham, by which drivers would have general examinations and eye tests every five years up to the age of 55, was outlined by Dr. W. K. S. Moore, medical officer for the company at the safe-driving awards presentation on Monday.
