Despite a slight decrease in their failure rates, service and parking brake performance remain the most common items cited in trailer test failures. The failure rate for service brakes fell from 16,1% in 2001/02 to 14.7% just over 35.500 trailers initially failed with these problems. The parking brake failure rate also fell. by 1.4% to 11.5%. But that still equates to more than 77.850 initial test failures.
