The most crucial part of the package is the new cab interior, and there are no disappointments in there. The only significant negative in our view is the Telligent transmission. With practice and familiarity it would become second nature, but its counter-intuitive operation is initially irritating, and its tendency to protect itself from an imperfect change by dumping you in neutral is disconcerting and of debatable benefit.
That moan aside, the new generation Actros gets our seal of approval. This time at least. we agree with the judges: the Actros is a worthy Truck of the Year.
