ft will probably be news to many motor users that when they use a horsebox for the conveyance of cattle, instead of being allowed to travel at 30 m.p.h., their speed is restricted to 20 m.p.h. This point was made quite clear at the Heywood Police Court a few days ago, when Wilfred Park, of Moss Side Farm, Milnrow, was summoned for driving a vehicle containing four cows at a speed exceeding 20 m.p.h. He explained that the vehicle was registered as a horsebox, and he thought 80 m.p.h. was the
Legal limit. A police witness stated that that was so when the vehicles were used solely for the carrying of horses and their attendants. Defendant was fined 10s.
