ANUMBER of fleet operators expressed Concern at a notification received from the new Greater London Council to the effect that certain longstanding arrangements, whereby a fleet insurance certificate had been registered permanently at County Hall in order to avoid the need for repeated submission of certificates of insurance with each renewal application, would have to be discontinued.
After discussions with the licensing department the London . and Home Counties division of the Traders Road Transport Association' reports that this has been revoked, and it has been agreed that these arrangements will be continued as at present, on request from those concerned for their. name to remain on the register for this 'purpose.
It has been made clear, however, that these special arrangements will be available only at the central licensing department at County Hall, and not at the branch offices which have been set up.
