A diaphragm spring clutch, 13 in. diameter, is standard equipment. The improved braking system now incorporates emergency braking on all six wheels. Reservoir capacity and front brake lining areas have been increased, and a larger (5.25 in. dia.) master cylinder helps to provide more powerful retardation.
Power steering greatly reduces driver fatigue and provides precise manoeuvrability on the most uneven terrain.
All these features are standard with the new Ford tandems; there is also an impressive list of optional equipment designed to meet individual operators' needs.
