A new type of heavy-duty flooring has been developed by Halfnight Protective Systems Ltd. specifically for refrigerated vans and containers. It is designed to withstand very low temperatures, repeated cleaning, hard wear and the heavy loads associated with the use of fork-lift trucks. The flooring has been approved by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The floor consists of a -kin. layer of HPS 3.13, solvent-free epoxy screed that has a high resistance to abrasion and chemical attack. Of the "non-dusting" type, the material has a compressive strength of 7,000/10,000 p.s.i., a flexural strength of 1,000/2,000 p.s.i. and a tensile strength of 500/1,000 p.s.i.
