Report to Leyland ads 95 Series tractors. Since then Daf has held its own in the power wars, upgraded its cab and chassis specs and acquired a new owner. It was obviously time to take another look at the company's flagship and ask users and dealers for the lowdown on the range to-day.
The 95's distinctive slab-fronted cab was also once used by Seddon Atkinson and Pegaso. However, since those two manufacturers were taken over by lveco, Daf has been left to handle all future production and development of the original Cabtec cab.
• EVOLUTION
UK hauliers' first taste of the Cabtec cab was back in 1987 when the original 95 Series was launched, complete with Daf's 11.6-litre engine rated at 310, 350 and 380hp, driving a 16-speed ZI.■ box.
