COMMERCIAL VEHICLE applica tions of their Thermomatic engine cooling fan have been introduced by Kenlowe Accessories and Co., Ashford, Middx.
There are two forms of the fan, a suction unit for fitting behind the radiator in the conventional fan position, and a blower unit for mounting in front of the radiator, behind the grille. In either case adjustable mountings are supplied and fan-impeller ductings can be obtained.
Nylon impellers, 10-in., 12-in., or 14-in. in diameter, and a range of motor sizes, are available so that maximum cooling efficiency can be obtained on any particular vehicle. Additional equipment such as an indicator light and manual overriding control can be incorporated which will enable the engine temperature to be kept at the best figure for the particular conditions.
It is claimed that, allowing approximately two hours for installation, the total cost of the equipment, fitted, should not exceed £12 10s. for vehicles up to 2 tons. 117 up to 5 tons and LI for vehicles over 5 tons.
