SCAN1A is expanding its service training courses to meet the increasing demand from operators. The courses, which started on a pilot basis in 1973, cover all aspects of maintenance, repair and overhaul of engine, transmission, chassis, brakes and electrical system.
The 1977/8 syallabus is built around fourand five-day courses at Scania's UK headquarters with around 10/15 participants at each. Fault diagnosis techniques are a major feature of the courses which are approved by the RTITB for grant purposes. Participants in the latest session include fitters and final-year apprentices from BRS, T. Wall and Son, and Scottish and Newcastle Breweries.
The Scania Training Centre is at 11 Mount Road, Feltham, Middlesex. Course details and booking forms can be obtained direct from Scania GB Ltd or from its distributors and dealers.
