Surely your comments under "Ups and downs" (CM Birds-eye view, April 2.6) issue, were written very much tongue in cheek.

If not, may I suggest that before fleet engineers develop housemaid's knees or permit themselves to be rooked into paying prices over the odds for "scarce pistons and liners,-'' they first contact their local branch of A. E. Edmunds Walker Ltd.

Inevitably, in these days of shortages, even we will run out of some individual reference numbers, but the fact that we undoubtedly are the largest stockists of diesel and petrol type pistons and liners (dare I also mention piston ring sets and crank shaft bearings) in the United Kingdom, will lessen the risk of operators suffering leg ailments in their old age and, in the meantime, "keep them there wheels rolling" D.
