• Creditors of the failed international Lincolnshire haulier MPG Transport have been warned not to expect to see much—or any—of the money they are owed.
Liquidator BDO Stoy Hayward says there is a possibility of a dividend to creditors, but it is "quite unlikely". The Spalding company ceased trading earlier this month with an expected creditors' shortfall of some .E286,000.
Michael and Kay Greenhalgh blame the downfall of their seven-truck operation on outside factors, including poor service from a factoring company, the high costs of professional advice, the high level of sterling and competition from other hauliers.
The company's 124 listed creditors include a large number of hauliers, including BOO Distribution Services, Norbert Dentressangle, Turners (Scharn) and Noel Zwecker International Transport,
