Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Designated the Master wrench, a well-made adjustable spanner, having certain unusual and advantageous features, has recently been introduced by Brown Brothers, Ltd., Great Eastern Street, London, E.C.2. An entirely British product, it is strongly made, and the rotatable handle, which controls the jaws, is mounted on a ballbearing.

The design enables the jaws to grip with considerably greater force than is normally the case in adjustable spanners, and it is claimed that, although the gripping faces are smooth, a round bar or stud can be turned against considerable load. The tool can, in fact, be used as a vice ol a clamp. Provision is made for protecting the bearing from dirt and grit, and the life of the spanner should be long. The prices range from 3s. 6d.
