DUR1NG November, 11,052 commercial vehicles, valued at £8,319,877, were exported. These figures show a slight drop on those for October.
During the month, 20,732 goods vehicles (including battery-electrics) and passenger vehicles were produced, with a weekly average of 5,183. Of the total, 19,807 were goods vehicles, road haulage tractors and special types made up as follows: Up to 15 cwt. carrying capacity, 10,619; 15 cwt.-3 tons, 4.467; 3-6 tons, 2,997; over 6 tons, 1,724.
Of the 789 passenger vehicles produced, 561 were single-deck and 220 were double-deck motorbuses and eight were trolleybuses. Battery-electric output for the month was 136. In the 11 months ended November. 276.334 units were produced, of which 144.778 were goods vehicles up to 15 cwt, carrying capacity, 48,276 from 15 cwt. to 3 tons, 49,501 from 3-6 tons and 23.470 over 6 tons. In the same period, 8,813 passenger vehicles were manufactured (6,510 single-deck and 2,199 double-deck motorbuses and .104 trolleybuses). The production of battery-electrics totalled 1,496.
During the '11 months, 143,482 units, valued at £96,630,602, were exported. The value of dumpers, dump trucks and industrial trucks exported, but not the number of units, is included in this figure. The details are given in the table below.
