London link road I 'Ile route for the proposed link road across North East London has been fixed. The 61(rn (3.8 miles) road will be a dual carriageway, linking the Eastern Avenue (Al2) just West of the Al2/M11 Redbridge roundabout with the A102(M) at Hackney Wick. Its object is to relieve traffic congestion through Stratford, Leyton, Leytonstone and Wanstead. Work could start on the project early in 1990.
