We still reckon the Space Cab is one of the better living and drying environments in the business. That sad, Daf can't afford to ignore rival manufacturers who are prepared to put more comfort and extras into their standard premium tractor, otherwise the XF95 could end up slipping off the radar for smaller
hauliers and owner-drivers who are looking for maximum value for their buying pounds.
Meanwhile, the adoption last year of a revised interior. EBS discs and the ZF ASIronic auto box has maintained the process of constant product improvement and we're increasingly convinced that the future lies with autos. The Dutch 12.6-litre engine remains a strong performer and its relatively non hi-tech nature means it will remain popular with hauliers at least until Euro-4 comes along.
We've always reckoned the XF95 is a good truck, but with so many good trucks now on the market Daf mustn't get complacent.
