• To increase the flexibility of its training schemes, the Road Transport Industry Training Board has established nine regional offices to assist and advise employers in the industry throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Mr. Eric Tindall, the director-general, states that the Board will ensure that local needs and problems, in every area of the country, will be dealt with effectively.
Headed by a regional manager, every office has a training manager and a grants manager, each of whom leads a team of training or grants officers. Any employer registered with the Board may contact the appropriate regional office and request visits from specialist training staff or assistance and advice on training problems and methods of obtaining the maximum benefit from the RTITB.
