AFIER their claim for a substantial increase in pay was refused by the employers at a joint meeting on Monday, representatives of the National Union of Vehicle Builders. the Amalga
mated Society of Wood Cutting Machinists and the Electrical Trades Union said that they would hold themselves free to enforce their claim.
A statement issued by the N.U.V.B. on Saturday said they would "engage in every form of action calculated to bring the engineering wages claim to a successful conclusion."
The national executive committees of the unions will hold a joint meeting in London on Tuesday.
The workers' claim was first refused last December and the matter was again considered earlier this month.
