"WHAT really angers me is the intolerance and arrogance of one working man to another," said Graham Golby, a Sheffield nurseryman and the employer of a young man who was twice banned from a South Yorkshire bus because the driver said his clothes were too dirty. The youth was not allowed even to stand.
"Even when the other passengers and a policeman appealed to the driver to show a bit of common sense, he just pointed to his rule book and refused to budge," the outraged employer added.
I have lived long enough to expect nothing but intolerance and arrogance from so-called working men towards anyone. Since Barbara Castle told them that power resided on the shop floor, they have been intolerable as well as intolerant.
