BEDFORD has announced d tails of rear axle changes in i TM (EBV) tractive units.
Temporary supply problen with Raba rear axles normal installed in this range ha, made it necessary to inst. Rockwell R170 GS AM2 (non-si got mounted wheel) or R170 C AM3 (spigot mounted wheel) a les to some vehicles.
Although Raba and Rockw. axles are basically similar, ti latter type has a ratio of 5.29 tc compared with the Raba's 5.. to 1.
Vehicles installed with tl Rockwell axles have a specl plate situated in the cab adjace to the SPI plate. Bedford's Oct her service news bulletin (83/! which announces the chang€ also lists the parts (fitted wi the alternative axle) which a different from those on the Ral axle.
