Confidence returning despite volume fall
SME MANUFACTURERS have more confidence than at any time since the recession began, and they expect order books to stabilise over the next quarter, says the latest study by the Confederation of British Industry.
Despite manufacturing volumes still falling overall in 03,24% of firms reported a rise in output.
Export volumes are still contracting, and actual output is expected to remain at 7% down in Q4, although forward orders will have levelled out.
