WESTERN BRS's new Merthyr Tydfil branch has its first manager. He is Stuart James, previously the company's rental manager, who joined WBRS in 1972 and has experience in line management in the company's South Wales area. The new depot is based around the recently taken over Hoover contract, but Mr James will also be responsible for developing new business in the Heads of the Valleys area.
Leon Donkin has left Pandoro as general manager to become a consultant with Foster (Tachographs) Ltd, of Preston. He will use his 30 years experience with BRS, Northern Ireland Trailers, and Pandoro to provide management and driver training and tachograph analysis services for client companies.
At Brittany Ferries, Jon Clarke has joined the company's Portsmouth-based freight development team. The company says it anticipates further competition on its routes to South and West France, and Spain.
In the coach industry, Aubrey Martin has moved from DAF Trucks (GB) Ltd to become marketing director with the Moseley Group, where he will be responsible for promoting the sales and service of the Moseley Continental ranges of imported coaches. He will be based at Moseley (Bordon) Ltd, the former Baker West premises in Hampshire.
