A FORMER Provost of Rothesay. CI and managing, director of a motor hiring company, Mr. James MacMillan, was fined £5 at the Rothesay Sheriff Court, last week, for failing to have a licence for storing petroleum spirit from April, 1936, until June, 1940. It was stated in court that the possible penalty was £20 per day, or R30,000 for the period involved in the charge. It was explained that the fault occurred after the bus section of the business had been disposed of in 1936.
