Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

as workers' transport and I notice that it has only one rear light. 1 am assured that this is permissible, but I have my doubts. Could you confirm that / am not being misled? A You are not being misled if the vehicle was in use before June 1, 1971. The regulations governing obligatory rear lamps on vehicles are contained in the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1971 which came into operation on June 1, 1971. Regulation 23 deals with the position of obligatory rear lamps as outlined in column 1 of Schedule 1 of the Regulations. Here, paragraph 5 specifies that existing large passenger vehicles should have one rear lamp on the centre line or offside of vehicle not more than 30in from the rear of the vehicle and with the lowest part of the illuminated area of the rear lamp not less than 15in from the ground.

There are different requirements for large passenger vehicles first used after June 1, 1971.
