• Yorkshire Traction Company of Barnsley has taken over Scottish Bus Group subsidiary Strathtay Scottish, just over a month after being named preferred bidder (CM 16-22 May).
The deal includes 164 buses, seven depots and over 400 staff. It gives YTC a fleet of more than 850 with 20 depots and a workforce of 2,000.
