• POD, of the Stringer group has won an ill I million order to supply the Saudi government with 150 demountable medical units, all to be based on the Landrover Discovery.
The GRP air conditioned units which can be carried on any onetonne pick-up body convert within minutes to a free-standing condition.
Bodies can be equipped for a variety of duties ranging from medical, dental or veterinary to mobile service workshops.
Aylesbury-based POD is building 100 units for numerous health authorities and is expanding its export interests.
