THE Transport Commissioner for the Landon Region announces that the retail-delivery scheme, adopted by London' shopkeepers to save fuel, vehicles, tyres and man-power, will be brought into operation on Monday, March 30. Under this scheme, no goods purchased, except bread, milk, furniture, coal and medicines, will be delivered more than a mile from the shop except by pooled vehicles.
