AN open meeting of owners and operators of commercial vehicles arranged by the • Regional Maintenance Advisory Committee at Thornaby-on-Tees on Tuesday was addressed by Mr. C. E. Humphrey, mechanical engineer, Northern traffic area, on the subject of vehicle maintenance.
In' question time afterwards many operators complained of the shortage of spares and were assured by representatives of vehicle manufacturers present that although every effort was being made to remedy this, spares were very difficult to obtain.
