FOLLOWING the Baghdad and Damascus Fairs, orders worth £250,000 have so far been placed with Leyland Motors, Ltd., and further large contracts for Middle East countries are being negotiated pending the completion of currency arrangements.
Mr. A. T. Webster, of the company's export division, who has just spent three months in the Middle East, says that most orders have been placed by owner-drivers whose main requirement is reliability.
Iraq Express, a large goods and passenger transport organization, have placed further orders for Leylands. A23
