Bradford trolleybuses made profits of £31,382 and £30,434 respectively in 1952-53 and 1953-54, whilst motorbuses lost £24,067 and £28,793. The difference was because the power and maintenance, costs of trolleybuses were lower, and this state of affairs was likely to continue.
