FORMER HEAD of design with Netherlands Railways, Siep Wijsenbeek, has joined the management of Ogle Design, the Letchworth-based transport and product design company.
Mr Wijsenbeek had held his previous position since 1965. Examples of his work include design of the railways' corporate identity, inter-city train rolling stock and several types of bus.
In his new role as director of transport design he will take a special interest in public transport projects. His arrival coincides with a growth in this side of the group's activities, one recent example being a London Transport contract to study bus design.
