THAMESDOWN Transport, Swindon's municipal bus operator, has increased its passenger loadings since its services were revised last year. During the year ended March 1984 passenger numbers increased from 8.8m to 9.3m.
An increased number of school and other contracts meant the undertaking increased its fleet from 81 to 97 vehicles during the year. Its coach fleet was trebled to six vehicles due to a major increase in private hire.
Thamesdown Transport made a surplus of around £115,000 net on revenue of about Om during the year.
