McKelvie Transport, based in Paisley, operates two double-deck step-frame 12m trailers on a contract wirh English Sewing, a Tootal Group subsidiary, running between Neilston, near Paisley and Enderley, in Leicestershire.
The 4.3m high vehicles have tail-lifts to serve both decks and are capable of handling 70 per cent more yarn and other production materials than single-de trailers.
McKelvie operates tilt with two Iveco 165.24 tr dye units and estimates t: they clock up an average 2,900km a week.
In all, McKelvie has boui. 17 Iveco tractive units in past 18 months.
