Waste report
A REPORT published by the National Association of Waste Disposal Contractors has criticised the Government for its inadequate proposals for protecting the environment against pollution.
NAWDC supports the basic concept of site licensing but expresses reservations on the philosophy of dilution and dispersion which it fears will lead to damage to land and water.
Lalonde buyer
THE ASSETS of the removals and storage company Lalonde Ltd, which is in the hands of the liquidator, have been bought by Trevor Williams (Removers) Ltd, part of the GB Liners Group.
GB Liners intends to keep the company operating under the same name although warehousing at Hereford will be consolidated into the Group's own facility in the town.

KWIKSAIR Ltd, the UK road haulage subsidiary of the Thomas Nationwide Transport Group, is to bring together at one headquarters site all its principal operating divisions in the London and Home Counties area.
The new centre, located on the former site of Heston Airfield, will be on a three acre site.

COMMERCIAL road haulage vehicles and other roll-on/rolloff freight using Dover during May maintained a steady growth.
