At a meeting in Amsterdam of the British delegates who attended the first International Safety Conference in that city, Mr. F. G. Bristow, C.B.E., general secretary of the C.M.U.A„ was elected leader of the British delegation. A further honour followed when, at the fitst plenary session, be was appointed vice-president of the conference.
Delegates from Austria, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, China, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, South Africa and the United States attended, and a number of important papers on safety problems was read and discussed.
