FROM Monday next a new fleet nameCorrall Transport Ltd.—will be seen on vehicles in London, East Anglia and South East England, and on the same day the familiar name of Nicholls and Co. (Brighton) Ltd. will disappear.
Nicholls, which started in the Brighton area in 1919 and expanded in the south and east over the years, was purchased by the Associated Coal and Wharf Companies Ltd. in 1961 and now this group, known as the Corral! Group of Companies, is putting the Corrall name on the Nicholls fleet. The head office moved last year from Brighton to Portslade, to be nearer the important Shoreham shipping work.
From August 2, Nicholls and Co. (Cambridge) Ltd. and Commercial Transport Bodies Ltd. will cease to trade under the present name.
