ANET surplus of £103,828 resulting from the year ended March 31 last for Manchester Corporation Transport compared unfavourably with the previous year's figure of £269,894. Total traffic revenue of motorbuses and trolleybuses amounting to £7,876.761 was £104,964 less than in 1964. Figures were: £7,590,932 (£7.580,709) for motorbuses and £285,829 (£401,016) for trolleybuses. The net deficit on trolleybuses was £11,632 (£4,006).
Traffic revenue per vehicle mile for motorbuses was 43.767d. (43.184d.) and for trolleybuses 48.071d. (46.022d.), whilst working expenses were respectively 41-205d. (39.571d.) and 44.585d. (42-661d.).
Total number of passengers carried in the year was 327,228.000 (352.068,000). The number of vehicles available for service on March 31 was 1,342 motorbuses and 35 trolleybuses.
