As with the Hi-Lux, two star petrol is adequate for the five bearing four cylinder engine which produces 41 kW (55bhp) (DIN) from a cubic capacity of 1166 cc (71 Cu in). The maximum torque is 83 Nm (611b ft) at 3800 rpm.
A four speed all-synchromesh gear-box is fitted with a 178 mm (7in) single dry plate clutch. The semi-floating hypoid bevel axle has a stan dard ratio of 4.3 to I.
The front suspension features MacPherson struts and coil springs while a live axle is used at the rear. An anti-roll bar is standard equipment at the front end. Braking is by a disc front/drum rear system with a vacuum servo and dual circuits. Dimensions are 218 and 201 mm (8.6 and 7.9 in) diameter respectively.
Including VAT, the Corolla van has a list price of £1,977.48.
