Following on from the TJ 3 pressed steel fifth-wheel coupling from Davies Magnet, the company has introduced a heavy-section cast main plate version. Coded the TJ3C the coupling has been designed for normal haulage operations where International Standards permit the use of a 50mm (2in) kingpin It is claimed that the twin-jaw design ensures a 360 grip about the pin with no wearing contact between the kingpin diameter and the main plate.
