on excursions and tours. I have not operated such a vehicle before and, as it will be fitted with a radio, I should like to know what regulations cover the use of this apparatus on psv. Can you outline these?
Regulation 37 of the Public Service Vehicle (conditions Fitness, Equipment and Use.) Regulations make provision for the way in which wireless apparatus should be installed in psv. Here it is stated that no wireless receiving apparatus or speech transmitting apparatus shall be fitted in any vehicle in such a position that the controls (other than the volume controls designed and constructed to operate only in positively located steps or positions) are capable of being operated by the driver when in his seat.
